Hi Mullica! Evan is actually printing the invitations on an old civil war printing press. Soo crafty, right?
Do you have any ideas? :)

Chrystie, Evan, and myself are all winding down after a really exciting weekend that encompassed the engagement party. There are many photos to upload, sort through, and decide upon which are favorites so for right now, we’re going to stick to showing you the invites and tell you about how wonderful the party was!
Friends and family gathered at Chrys’ house on Saturday to celebrate. Chrystie made all the food and desserts herself (incredible margarita chicken and scrumptious peach and blueberry cobbler included). The weather was gorgeous and there was enough laughter and happiness to fill all of Maryland.
After everyone ate and relaxed, the bride and groom did presents. They received enough from everyone that attended to start their own apartment (which is in the books as I type)! How exciting?! Saturday was so successful. We can’t wait to share photos :)
Now to what we promised:

Evan created these announcements (how lovely!). It came with a slip of paper stating that engagement celebration details were soon to follow.

This is one of the screen invites that Evan did. Evan and Chrystie came up with the appearance and Evan burned the screens for it. Soon upon completion, they realized that legibility was an issue so they redesigned the invites. They said if they could have changed anything about it, it would be that the gold ink in the background was lighter (by adding a little more white ink) and that the font were larger.

These were the final Engagement Party invitations. Don’t they look crisp and professional? Excellent job, Evan!
We can’t wait to share what’s next with you!
Meet the bride and groom to be, Chrystie Read and Evan Craig. Chrystie works at the American Red Cross, while Evan attends school full-time at VCU in Richmond, Virgina. They met each other in Spanish class in high school when she was 16 and he was 15. They’ve been dating for five and a half years and just this past Christmas, have announced they will be getting married. Since, they have asked me to be the maid of honor (and blogger)!
As a young couple and getting married under the circumstances (known as the current economy), their budget is tight. We’ve all grouped together to make this a DIY Wedding. Everything. Over the next year, you’ll get to see things come together - from projects to inspiration boards to the big day.
I’m beyond excited to share the happiest time of my two best friend’s lives with you. It will be incredible.
